The Golden Knights join the Avalanche

(Anaheim) Mark Stone, Max Pacioretty and Nicolas Roy all had a goal and an assist, guiding the Vegas Golden Knights to a 5-2 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday.

The victory allowed the Golden Knights to join the Colorado Avalanche in first place in the Western Section.

Alex Pietrangelo and Alex Tuch also found the back of the net for the Golden Knights, who extended their winning streak to six. Marc-André Fleury made 33 saves.

Stone enjoyed a fourth straight game by more than a point, tying his personal high set for a period of December 13-19, 2019.

 

Currently on a three-game hiatus due to COVID-19, the Avalanche is not expected to resume action until Thursday against the St. Louis Blues. The Golden Knights and the Avalanche will face each other two more times this season.

Maxime Comtois and Danton Heinen sparked the red light for the Ducks, who saw John Gibson block 24 pucks. Adam Henrique for his part collected a 200 th  career assist.
