(Le Havre) Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe hit the mark in the Americans' 2-0 win over France in a friendly on Tuesday.

The United States has not lost in 39 games; their last defeat dates back to January 2019, against the French.

Rapinoe converted a penalty in the fifth minute; she leads hers with seven goals in as many games in 2021.

Morgan doubled the score in the 19 ^th , scoring a 109 ^th  net.

Morgan mentioned training with the Orlando Pride (National Women's Soccer League), as the reason for his good performance.

She gave birth to her daughter Charlie last May, then contracted COVID-19 over the holidays.

“I trained with Pride every day to try to be my best for 90 minutes,” said the 31-year-old.

“At the (national) camp, I felt very good. If I am asked for 90 minutes, I think I can. "

France was deprived in particular of Wendie Renard, Amandine Henry and Delphine Cascarino, in connection with an outbreak of the coronavirus with Lyon.

The Americans drew 1-1 with Sweden on Saturday in Stockholm.

Ranked number 1 in the world, the United States had won their last 16 games.
