(Nashville) The Nashville Predators put forward Matt Duchene's name on the injury list on Saturday due to a lower-body injury that could keep him on the sidelines for three to five weeks.

The veteran center player becomes the fourth Predators color bearer since Tuesday to see his name placed on the injured list. The others are defender Ryan Ellis, forward Luke Kunin and goalkeeper Juuse Saros.

Duchesne had eight points in 23 games so far this season, with a defensive ratio of minus-11. His contract, which earns him an average annual salary of 8 million, will expire after the 2025-2026 season.

The Predators recalled forward Mathieu Olivier and defenseman Alexandre Carrier from their reserve squad, and gave up forward Michael McCarron.

The Predators showed up to their game against the Florida Panthers on Saturday afternoon with a two-game losing streak. They occupy the sixth level of the Central section.
