Toronto Raptors Terence Davis Arrested for Assault

(New York) Toronto Raptors guard Terence Davis was arrested in New York on Tuesday following allegations of assault on his wife.

 

According to NYPD documents, the victim visited Davis at the Beekman Hotel in Manhattan around 8:30 pm An argument then arose, and the "suspect allegedly punched the victim in the face." Davis then allegedly grabbed the victim's phone and smashed it, according to the documents.

The Raptors said Wednesday morning that they are "aware of the incident and are trying to get information" about it.

The arrest was originally reported by the New York Post.

 

The 23-year-old, a University of Mississippi product, joined the Raptors as an undrafted free agent ahead of the start of the 2019-20 season.

He averaged 7.5 points per game, and was ranked fifth among rookies in three-point shooting success rate. Davis was also named to the NBA Rookie Second Team All-Star.
