Wheeler (2-0) allowed three runs - including two earned - and six hits in six innings of work in his second start since signing a five-year, 118-million deal.

Brandon Belt once again found success over Rockies starter Jon Gray, hitting a three-run homerun and a double to lead the San Francisco Giants to a 4-3 victory over Colorado.
The Giants ended the Rockies' four-game winning streak.
Belt is averaging .417 over Gray. He helped Logan Webb (1-0) collect his first win in four starts this season.
Nolan Arenado hit a long ball, his third in as many consecutive games.
The Rockies had scored five or more points in their last eight games before being jostled by Webb and the Giants relievers.
In his first start against Colorado, Webb allowed two runs - including one earned - in just over five innings of work.

Kole Calhoun hit his first homer inside the stadium, David Peralta produced four runs and the Arizona Diamondbacks took advantage of their nine-run burst in the fourth inning to crush the Houston Astros 14-7.
The Diamondbacks ended their early season offensive shortage by sending 14 hitters to the plate in the fourth, overcoming a 4-0 deficit. The locals opened the fifth with a 9-4 lead.
The Arizona squad has registered four singles, three doubles, a triple, a walk and a homer.
Diamondback starter Robbie Ray (1-2) won despite conceding six runs in five innings of work, including three homers.

Joc Pederson was flamboyant hitting his second home homer of the game 435 feet from home plate and the Los Angeles Dodgers held on hard to beat the San Diego Padres 7-6.
Pederson produced five runs - including two long balls.
Kenley Jansen made things interesting in the ninth round. He allowed a point before the match ended with a double play.
The Padres have lost four of their last five games.
